Learning Financial Independence Summer Boot Camp

Are you struggling to teach your teen an understanding of personal and global finance? Sometimes it’s easier for another adult to present these ideas without all the arguing.

Not everyone has the drive or the desire to become rich, but everyone would like to have a life free from worry about money. This camp will give your teen the tools they need to build a firm foundation and save them from the mistakes we all made from lack of knowledge.

This is the class you wish you had as a young adult.

Finance for Teens is presenting a week long summer camp on Learning Financial Independence. The class is well suited for mature 13 year olds to college students.

The camps are an accelerated version of our 14 week Learning Financial Independence 1 class.

Each camp will be held Monday to Friday, 10 am to 3 pm

The topics to be covered include:

Income vs Wealth
Compound Interest
Currencies and Markets
Companies and Corporations
Financial Statements
Markets and Exchange
Basic Economics
Personal Finance – optimizing income and minimizing expense
Taxes
Investments
How to destroy your financial future
The one thing you can do right now to make your financial future bright

Each topic will include lectures and notes, as well as simulation games and guest speakers.

The object of the camp is to give students a firm foundation for their financial future and to arm them with a game plan going forward. We are not looking for ways to suck the joy out of life or to have them obsess about money. A much better plan is to learn what they need to know, set up systems that they can carry into adulthood, and let them go.
